Our Story

During 2005 Red Sox Spring Training, twin brothers Theo and Paul Epstein came up with a way to harness the goodwill of Boston Red Sox fams, jubilant from their first World Series Championship in 86 years, to enrich the community for the greater good. Knowing the deep divide between those who have a lot and those who don’t, they started an organization to support urban youth and families and called it Foundation To Be Named Later, a playful nod to the Major League Baseball Trade Term: Player To Be Named Later.
